Comfort Ye My People

Take 4 minutes to listen to this beautiful piece performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and ponder this scripture text today….Ponder Israel’s “term” (warfare, time of trouble), the sins that she committed and that have been paid for, and most of all, hear the voice calling in the wilderness.

Isaiah 40:1-3

Comfort, O comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that she has served her term, that her penalty is paid, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins. A voice cries out: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
